Serbia on the Way into the European Union
14. May 2013
panel discussion
In the panel discussion “Serbia on the Way in EU” the legacy of Dr. Zoran Djindjic concerning Serbia’s way towards democracy and the European Union will be discussed. What has already been achieved in this regard, the inner conflicts between opposition and the regime in Belgrade as well as the conflicts with the neighbouring countries and their consequences for the prospect of Serbia’s accession in the EU are all the issues that will be tackled in this panel discussion. The chances and challenges of Serbia’s democratization processes will be critically analyzed together with four participants covering important stand points for the issues in question: from political bodies in Serbia responsible for Serbia’s accenssion process, to political analysts and professors for the Balkan politics, to media commentators covering Balkan issues to the representatives of German Foreign Ministry responsible for the region.
